The most common side effects of Mikacin 500mg Injection are - Phlebitis,Thrombophlebitis, Rash, Fever, Urticaria, Pruritus, Neuromuscular Blockade (Difficulty Breathing, Drowsiness, Weakness)
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Mikacin 500mg Injection
Do not use Mikacin 500mg Injection if you are allergic to - Amikacin

Mikacin 500mg Injection contains - Amikacin
Amikacin binds to negatively charged sites on bacteria's outer cell membrane, disrupting cell integrity. Also binds to bacterial ribosomal subunits and inhibits protein synthesis. Both actions lead to cell death.

The dosage of Mikacin 500mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Mikacin 500mg Injection

Drug :-
Cephalosporins, Enflurane, Methoxyflurane, Vancomycin: Increased nephrotoxic effects.
General Anesthetics: Increased risk of neuromuscular blockade.
Loop Diuretics: Increased risk of ototoxicity.
Neuromuscular Blockers: Possibly increased neuromuscular blockade and prolonged respiratory depression.
Penicillins: Possibly inactivation of or synergistic effects with amikacin.
