The most common side effects of Alzil 5mg Tablet are - Allergic Reaction, Sweating, Headache, Abnormal ECG, Chest Pain, Edema, Heart Failure, Abdominal Pain, Anorexia, Constipation, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Alzil 5mg Tablet
Do not use Alzil 5mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Donepezil
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Alzil 5mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

Alzil 5mg Tablet contains - Donepezil
Donepezil works by slowing the breakdown of a neurotransmitter in the brain called acetylcholine, Neurotransmitters are stored in nerve cells in the brain and nervous system, and are involved in transmitting messages between the nerve cells, Donepezil increases the level of acetylcholine in the brain.
Overdose of Alzil 5mg Tablet
The dosage of Alzil 5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Alzil 5mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Alzil 5mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :-
anticholinergics: Possibly interference with activity of these drugs.
carbamazepine, dexamethasone, phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin: Increased donepezil elimination rate.
cholinergic agonists, neuromuscular blockers: Possibly synergistic effects of these drugs.
ketoconazole, quinidine: Inhibited donepezil metabolism.
NSAIDs: Possibly increased gastric acid secretion and increased risk of GI bleeding.
