Side effects of Pivasta 2mg Tablet
The most common side effects of Pivasta 2mg Tablet are - Headache, Nasopharyngitis, Elevated Blood Glucose Level, Constipation, Diarrhea, Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels, Acute Renal Failure, Myoglobinuria, Arthralgia, Back or Extremity Pain, Myopathy, Myositis, Rhabdomyolysis, Pruritus, Rash, Urticaria
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Pivasta 2mg Tablet
Do not use Pivasta 2mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Pitavastatin
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Pivasta 2mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Pivasta 2mg Tablet
Pivasta 2mg Tablet contains - Pitavastatin
Pitavastatin works by slowing the production of cholesterol in the body to decrease the amount of cholesterol that may build up on the walls of the arteries and block blood flow to the heart, brain, and other parts of the body.
Overdose of Pivasta 2mg Tablet
The dosage of Pivasta 2mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Pivasta 2mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Pivasta 2mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :-
cyclosporine, erythromycin, lopinavir and ritonavir, rifampin: Increased pitavastatin exposure.
fibrates such as gemfibrozil: Increased risk of myopathy.
niacin: Increased risk of adverse skeletal muscle effects.
