The most common side effects of Urifast 50mg Tablet DT are - Wheezing, Dry Cough, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Shortness of Breath
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Urifast 50mg Tablet DT
Do not use Urifast 50mg Tablet DT if you are allergic to - Nitrofurantoin
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Urifast 50mg Tablet DT.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Urifast 50mg Tablet DT
Urifast 50mg Tablet DT contains - Nitrofurantoin
Nitrofurantoin may interfere with bacterial enzyme systems and bacterial cell-wall formation.

The dosage of Urifast 50mg Tablet DT depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Urifast 50mg Tablet DT
If you forget to take a dose of Urifast 50mg Tablet DT, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :-
Antacids containing magnesium:
May decrease nitrofurantoin absorption. Separate
dosage times by 1 hour.
Probenecid, sulfinpyrazone:
May inhibit excretion of nitrofurantoin, increasing drug levels and risk
of toxicity. The resulting decreased urinary levels could lessen antibacterial effects. Avoid using
together.
Food :-
Any food:
May increase absorption. Advise patient to take drug with food or milk.
