Depnil 25mg Tablet is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):
Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Premenstrual Dysmorphic Disorder
Side effects of Depnil 25mg Tablet
The most common side effects of Depnil 25mg Tablet are - Headache, Asthenia, Insomnia, Anxiety, Drowsiness, Nausea, Diarrhea, Decreased Appetite, Dizziness, Tremor, Fatigue, Vomiting, Constipation, Dry Mouth, Abdominal Pain, Nasal Congestion, Diaphoresis, Rash, Flushed Skin, Light-Headedness, Impaired Concentration
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Depnil 25mg Tablet
Do not use Depnil 25mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Fluoxetine
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Depnil 25mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Depnil 25mg Tablet
Depnil 25mg Tablet contains - Fluoxetine
Fluoxetine it works by blocking the absorption of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain.
Overdose of Depnil 25mg Tablet
The dosage of Depnil 25mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Depnil 25mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Depnil 25mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :- NSAIDS, antiplatelets, anticoagulants may increase risk of bleeding. Alcohol, other CNS depressants may increase CNS depression. MAOIs may produce serotonin syndrome and neuroleptic malignant syndrome. May increase concentration/toxicity of phenytoin, tricyclic antidepressants.
Herbs :- Gotu kola, kava kava, St. John's wort, valerian may increase CNS depression. St. John's wort may increase effects, risk of serotonin syndrome.
Lab Values :- May decrease serum sodium. May increase AST, ACT.
