Aclasta 5mg Infusion is used for the treatment or prevention of the following disease(s):
Hypercalcemia (Caused by Cancer), Osteoporosis in Postmenopausal Women
Side effects of Aclasta 5mg Infusion
The most common side effects of Aclasta 5mg Infusion are - Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty In Swallowing, Musculoskeletal Pain
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Aclasta 5mg Infusion
Do not use Aclasta 5mg Infusion if you are allergic to - Zoledronate
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Aclasta 5mg Infusion.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

Aclasta 5mg Infusion contains - Zoledronate
Zoledronic acid belongs to a class of drugs known as bisphosphonates. It lowers high blood calcium levels by reducing the amount of calcium released from bones into blood. It also works by slowing the breakdown of bones by cancer to prevent bone fractures.

Onset of Action of Aclasta 5mg Infusion

Interactions
Drug :-
aminoglycosides: Possibly additive serum calcium-lowering effect.
loop diuretics, such as furosemide: Possibly increased risk of hypocalcemia.
NSAIDs: Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.
