Open-Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension

The most common side effects of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution are - Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, Runny Nose
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution
Do not use Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution if you are allergic to - Brimonidine, Stabilized Oxychloro
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution
Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution contains - Brimonidine, Stabilized Oxychloro
Brimonidine works by stimulating alpha receptors found on blood vessels in the eye. The pressure within the eyeball is naturally maintained by a continuous flow of liquid called aqueous humour through the eyeball.
Overdose of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution
The dosage of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution
If you forget to take a dose of Alphagan Z 0.1% Opthalmic Solution, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :- Antihypertensives, beta blockers, cardiac glycosides:
May further decrease BP or pulse
rate. Monitor vital signs.
Apraclonidine, dorzolamide, pilocarpine, timolol:
May have additive IOP-lowering effects. Use
cautiously together.
CNS depressants:
May increase effects. Use cautiously together.
Linezolid, MAO inhibitors:
May increase effects. Avoid using together.
TCAs:
May interfere with brimonidine's effect. Use cautiously together.
