The most common side effects of Ambisome 50mg Injection are - Fever, Headache, Chest Pain, Hypotension, Irregular Heartbeat , Abdominal Pain, Anorexia, Diarrhea, Hepatic Failure, Indigestion, Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Ambisome 50mg Injection
Do not use Ambisome 50mg Injection if you are allergic to - Amphotericin B
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Ambisome 50mg Injection.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Ambisome 50mg Injection
Ambisome 50mg Injection contains - Amphotericin B
Amphotericin B binds to sterols in fungal cell plasma membranes, which changes membrane permeability and allows loss of potassium and small molecules from cells. This action results in cell impairment or death.
Overdose of Ambisome 50mg Injection
The dosage of Ambisome 50mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Ambisome 50mg Injection
If you forget to take a dose of Ambisome 50mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Drug :-
antineoplastics: Increased risk of bronchospasm, hypotension, and nephrotoxicity.
corticosteroids, corticotropin: Increased risk of hypokalemia and cardiac dysfunction.
cyclosporine, nephrotoxic drugs: Increased risk of nephrotoxicity.
digitalis glycosides: Possibly hypokalemia and more severe digitalis toxicity.
flucytosine: Possibly increased flucytosine toxicity.
leukocyte transfusion: Possibly dyspnea, hypoxemia, and pulmonary infiltrates.
skeletal muscle relaxants: Possibly hypokalemia and increased muscle relaxation.
zidovudine: Possibly myelotoxicity and nephrotoxicity.
