The most common side effects of Amicin 100mg Injection are - Phlebitis,Thrombophlebitis, Rash, Fever, Urticaria, Pruritus, Neuromuscular Blockade (Difficulty Breathing, Drowsiness, Weakness)
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Amicin 100mg Injection
Do not use Amicin 100mg Injection if you are allergic to - Amikacin
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Amicin 100mg Injection.

Amikacin binds to negatively charged sites on bacteria's outer cell membrane, disrupting cell integrity. Also binds to bacterial ribosomal subunits and inhibits protein synthesis. Both actions lead to cell death.

The dosage of Amicin 100mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Interactions
Drug :-
Cephalosporins, Enflurane, Methoxyflurane, Vancomycin: Increased nephrotoxic effects.
General Anesthetics: Increased risk of neuromuscular blockade.
Loop Diuretics: Increased risk of ototoxicity.
Neuromuscular Blockers: Possibly increased neuromuscular blockade and prolonged respiratory depression.
Penicillins: Possibly inactivation of or synergistic effects with amikacin.
