Pancreatic Insufficiency, Including Steatorrhea
Side effects of Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet
The most common side effects of Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet are - Stomatitis, Abdominal Cramps or Pain, Diarrhea, Intestinal Obstruction, Nausea, Rash, Urticaria, Hyperuricemia
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet
Do not use Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Pancreatin, Ornithine
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.

Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet contains - Pancreatin, Ornithine
Pancreatin is a mixture of several digestive enzymes produced by the exocrine cells of the pancreas. It is composed of amylase, lipase and protease. This mixture is used to treat conditions in which pancreatic secretions are deficient, such as surgical pancreatectomy, pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis.
Ornithine works together with arginine in what is known as the urea cycle. A cyclical process where arginine and ornithine turn into each other in order to balance out urea and ammonia levels in the body.

The dosage of Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet
If you forget to take a dose of Hepamax 100mg/150mg Tablet, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Drug :-
acarbose, miglitol: Decreased effectiveness of these drugs.
aluminum hydroxide, H2-receptor antagonists, omeprazole, sodium bicarbonate: Increased gastric pH, prolonged enzymatic action of pancreatin
calcium carbonate- and magnesium hydroxide-containing antacids: Decreased pancreatin effectiveness.
iron supplements: Decreased iron absorption.
