Do not use Myotan CT 40mg/12.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to - Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone

Myotan CT 40mg/12.5mg Tablet contains - Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone
Azilsartan blocks vasoconstricting and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II by preventing angiotensin II from binding to angiotensin I receptors on vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal glands.
Chlorthalidone works by making the body lose excess water and salt.

The dosage of Myotan CT 40mg/12.5mg Tablet depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Interactions
Drug :- Aliskiren:
May increase risk of renal impairment, hypotension, and hyperkalemia in
diabetic patients.
Lithium:
May increase lithium serum concentration. Lithium dosage reduction may be needed.
NSAIDs:
May decrease renal function and azilsartan effectiveness. Monitor renal function and BP
periodically.
