The most common side effects of Pemgem 500mg Injection are - Depression, Emboli, Thrombosis, Fatigue, Esophagitis, Painful, Difficult Swallowing, Taste Disturbance, Fever, Neuropathy, Cardiac Ischemia, Anorexia, Constipation, Diarrhea, Nausea, Chest Pain, Edema, Pharyngitis, Conjunctivitis, Stomatitis, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Pemgem 500mg Injection
Do not use Pemgem 500mg Injection if you are allergic to - Pemetrexed
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Pemgem 500mg Injection.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Pemgem 500mg Injection
Pemgem 500mg Injection contains - Pemetrexed
Pemetrexed disturbs cell replication by inhibiting several folate-dependent enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis. When given with other antineoplastics, drug inhibits growth of mesothelioma cell lines.
Overdose of Pemgem 500mg Injection
The dosage of Pemgem 500mg Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.

Onset of Action of Pemgem 500mg Injection
If you forget to take a dose of Pemgem 500mg Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :- Nephrotoxic drugs, probenecid:
May delay pemetrexed clearance. Monitor patient.
NSAIDs:
May decrease pemetrexed clearance in patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency.
For NSAIDs with short half-lives, avoid use for 2 days before, during, and 2 days after pemetrexed
therapy. For NSAIDs with long half-lives, avoid use for 5 days before, during, and 2 days after
pemetrexed therapy.
