Bacterial Infections (Bone and Joint, Gynecologic, Intra Abdominal, Lower Respiratory Tract)
Side effects of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection
The most common side effects of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection are - Dizziness, Fever, Hallucinations, Headache, Lethargy, Seizures, Stroke, Diarrhea, Epigastric Distress, Intestinal Necrosis, Nausea, Pseudomembranous Colitis, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection
Do not use Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection if you are allergic to - Piperacillin, Tazobactum
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection
Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection contains - Piperacillin, Tazobactum
Piperacillin binds to specific penicillin-binding proteins and inhibits the third and final stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis by interfering with an autolysin inhibitor. Uninhibited autolytic enzymes destroy the cell wall and result in cell lysis.
Overdose of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection
The dosage of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection
If you forget to take a dose of Pipzo 2.25 gm Injection, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :-
aminoglycosides: Additive or synergistic effects against some bacteria, possibly mutual inactivation.
anti-inflammatory drugs including aspirin and NSAIDs, heparin, oral anticoagulants, platelet aggregation inhibitors, sulfinpyrazone, thrombolytics: Increased risk of bleeding.
hepatotoxic drugs including labetalol and rifampin: Increased risk of hepatotoxicity.
methotrexate: Increased blood methotrexate level and risk of toxicity.
probenecid: Increased blood piperacillin level and risk of toxicity.
vecuronium: Possibly prolonged perioperative neuromuscular blockade of vecuronium.
