The most common side effects of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule are - Fever, Headache, Insomnia, Sleep Disturbance, Chest Pain, Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Diarrhea,Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule
Do not use Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule if you are allergic to - Calcitriol, Elemental calcium, Soy isoflavones
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule
Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule contains - Calcitriol, Elemental calcium, Soy isoflavones
Calcitriol stimulates calcium absorption from the GI tract and promotes movement of calcium from bone to blood.
Overdose of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule
The dosage of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule
If you forget to take a dose of Shelcal ISO Soft Gelatin Capsule, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :- Cardiac glycosides:
May increase risk of arrhythmias. Use together cautiously.
Cholestyramine, colestipol, excessive use of mineral oil:
May decrease absorption of oral vitamin
D analogues. Avoid using together.
Corticosteroids:
May counteract vitamin D analogue effects. Avoid using together.
Magnesium-containing antacids:
May cause hypermagnesemia, especially in patients with chronic
renal failure. Avoid using together.
Phenobarbital, phenytoin:
May inhibit calcitriol synthesis. Dose may need to be increased.
Thiazides:
May cause hypercalcemia. Use together cautiously.
