Dosage of Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension
Sprot Plus 100 mg/125 mg/50 mg Suspension contains - Metronidazole, Diloxanide, Simethicone
Metronidazole is a direct-acting trichomonicide and amebicide that works inside and outside the intestines. It's thought to enter the cells of microorganisms that contain nitroreductase, forming unstable compounds that bind to DNA and inhibit synthesis, causing cell death.
Diloxanide works by killing the amoeba that are living in the large bowel. It is not effective against Entamoeba histolytica found in other tissues or organs in the body. Diloxanide is given on its own to treat chronic (long-term) infections.
Simethicone disintegrates the gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
