Side effects of Toracin 40mg Injection
The most common side effects of Toracin 40mg Injection are - Confusion, Dizziness, Headache, Lethargy, Neurotoxicity, Vertigo, Hearing Loss, Tinnitus, Clostridium Difficile-Associated Diarrhea, Diarrhea, Elevated Liver Function Test Results, Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Toracin 40mg Injection
Do not use Toracin 40mg Injection if you are allergic to - Tobramycin
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Toracin 40mg Injection.

Dosage of Toracin 40mg Injection
Toracin 40mg Injection contains - Tobramycin
Tobramycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding irreversibly to one of two aminoglycoside-binding sites on the 30S ribosomal subunit, resulting in bacteriostatic effects. Bactericidal effects may stem from tobramycin's ability to accumulate within cells so that the intracellular drug level exceeds the extracellular level.

Drug :-
acyclovir, aminoglycosides, amphotericin B, carboplatin, cisplatin, NSAIDs, vancomycin: Additive nephrotoxicity.
carbenicillin, ticarcillin: Possibly inactivation of tobramycin.
dimenhydrinate: Possibly masking of symptoms of ototoxicity.
ethacrynic acid, furosemide: Additive ototoxicity.
general anesthetics, neuromuscular blockers: Possibly increased neuromuscular blockade.
