The most common side effects of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR are - Fever, Headache, Insomnia, Sleep Disturbance, Chest Pain, Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Diarrhea,Nausea, Vomiting
These side effects can usually occur in patients. However, these are only indicative and not all patients will experience them.
Precautions while taking Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR
Do not use Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR if you are allergic to - Tamsulosin
If you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease, drug or alcohol addiction, consult your doctor before using Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR.
If you are allergic to any medicine or food, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Use this medicine under the supervision of your doctor.
To avoid an adverse reaction, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines.
Dosage of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR
Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR contains - Tamsulosin
Tamsulosin blocks alpha1-adrenergic receptors in the prostate. This action inhibits smoothmuscle contraction in the prostate, prostatic capsule, prostatic urethra, and bladder neck, which improves the rate of urine flow and reduces symptoms of BPH.
Overdose of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR
The dosage of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR depends on many factors such as the patient age, health, medical condition or history of the patient and many other conditions.
Please use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Onset of Action of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR
If you forget to take a dose of Veltam 0.2mg Tablet MR, do not take two doses at the same time, there is a risk of overdose.

Interactions
Drug :-
alpha blockers: Additive effects of both drugs.
cimetidine: Risk of decreased tamsulosin clearance.
CYP2D6 inhibitors such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, terbinafine, CYP3A4 inhibitors such as erythromycin, ketoconazole: Possibly increased plasma tamsulosin level.
phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors: Increased risk of hypotension.
